Pictures from the Road
I set aside a few days for a good friend who was coming into town, her trip got canceled, but I conceived a trip of my own to visit her anyway. I have been itching to get out of town for months now and whenever I see two or more days off in a row, I think of leaving. I love my vacations, this time I actually did it. I decided to make a solo road trip to Portland, Oregon. It is cheaper last minute to drive than it is to fly, by half. AND I could visit other friends along the way.
Here is a quick overview of my journey in words: day one, met with my friend Natalia for coffee in LA, then later had dinner with a friend from NYC, who I haven’t seen in years. After that, drove to Monterey for the night and stayed with my college roommate. The next day Jeremy and I hiked around Big Sur and had some lunch before I was back in my car to make it to San Francisco to see my friends Cameron and Alex. Stayed the night and left early to make the 10+ hour drive to Portland. This was my destination and where my friend Cara lives. I only stayed for 24 hours before we drove to Seattle together to stay with another friend. My friend Jenna hosted us and we experience Seattle for a whole day before making it back to Portland the next night. Then it was all driving from there with one more stop in San Francisco before making it home. 7 days, 2500+ miles. Cost me $211 in gas, I love my little car and all the time I had to myself, not to mention my little visits as well.

I really liked Seattle, Portland was ok and San Francisco grows on me more and more each time. Photos of people in my next post.
*I would also like to add that taking pictures while driving is not safe nor is it suggested, also the results are much poorer than they would be if I stopped to take a photo. But then your wouldn’t have the awesome blur, I am not a fan of the reflections in the glass if you noticed.
