First Double Century

March 8, 2011

I recently rode and  completed my first “double century” (200 miles) on my bicycle. Here is a link to the event with my results, I am very proud of this. Cycling has become a huge part of my life lately and there is so much to say about it. All I really wanted to share however, is how it has helped me set goals and achieve them. It’s easy to say I want to accomplish this, but to work at it on an almost daily basis, to achieve that goal, is another story. This takes commitment and desire. This is where I struggle as a freelance artist, all the busy work doesn’t excite me, I just want the jobs. Each bicycle journey is exciting, some of it is just training, but all of it is necessary to achieve my goals. So I try and take what I learn from my cycling endeavors and apply it to my business practices. I have many more cycling goals and a long way to go as a photographer.
