A tree in Joshua Tree

February 9, 2010

I really like trees. Their symbol means lots of things to me, but mostly they represent strength. I specifically like trees that stand alone or stand out from the rest.

It’s all just a dream

December 9, 2009

I was playing with high speed black and white film in low light and really liked the results. I am not a big fan of flash and actually prefer the way a continuous light source looks and photos closer to natural light. Here are two for now. More later.

I don’t know who this is but I like the way it looks.

Tame adventure in a Wild animal park

November 24, 2009

I randomly went to the Orange County Zoo with a couple friends recently and got to see some coyotes and roadrunners. I never heard of this zoo and was just wanting to get out of the house. The zoo is quite small and very cheap. I am pretty sure all of the animals are rescued which is great, but most of them are local creatures. If you live nearby, I suggest you go and have a nice picnic in the surrounding area and visit the zoo to see some of the wild animals.

I don’t particularly like taking pictures at the zoo but here are a couple.
Self portrait with a goat.
This is a mountain lion, I would not want to meet one in the wild.
I like this tree.

Monterey Aquarium

November 23, 2009

I am a fan of Steinbeck and his country. One of my favorite roommates from college, Jeremy Coulter, happens to live in Monterey, I payed him a little visit on my little drive. We layed around and enjoyed each others company. There are few people that I am comfortable enough, and they are as well, to just sit and do nothing together, we also watches a few movies. This is a pleasure I enjoy. Our grand adventure was a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Here are several photographs I enjoy from my visit with no dust and scratches treatment.

I like couples like this
School of fish
Fish gif, they were actually slow, this make it look like ravenous piranha.
Seaweed, it grows
good bye little jellyfish.

I’m with the band

November 19, 2009

I always seem to be around musicians and other talented art like people. I love it. This also seems to be the people I take the most photos of. Here are some captures of the band BadFeet. Apparently I am in the band.

Bad is Good

November 2, 2009

I go through phases as many people do, good is different to me in different seasons. I sometimes go through a bad is good phase. This means to me, don’t try so hard, don’t use good equipment, don’t care and point and shoot. Here are a couple shots I took and developed and didn’t clean up and didn’t try too hard. This is just a personal expression I have to do as an exercise in creativity.

Garret’s music video premiere

August 18, 2009

I have been driving to LA a lot lately to go see my friends and their creative wonders. This time was for my friend Garret Curtis and the premiere of his music video.

Taken from my window while driving, I love city sky lines.

He returns

August 17, 2009

My brother returned from his trip to Mongolia recently. He was gone for around 3 months and didn’t shave. This is what he looked like the morning after his return.
