Shooting Airplanes

July 19, 2009

Something I did a long time ago and wanted to do again, was go and take pictures of low flying airplanes. Whenever I drive by John Wayne Airport, I try to have a camera ready for airplanes buzzing the 405. On this day I met up at the more popular LAX with friend, Corey Nickols, an amazing photographer and interesting guy. I decided to shoot film and cross process it, which I have not done in a long time. The planes were so close that my 50mm was not wide enough at times. Here are a couple favorites.

We will be doing this again.

iPhone Photo

July 15, 2009

Some may be alarmed by this but, I don’t own a digital point and shoot camera. Out of my 7 cameras, only one is digital and I only use it for work. Well my iPhone has made a relatively decent point and shoot digital for me lately. Here is a photo I really like taken in the beautiful Mexico City Airport.
