Joshua Tree

February 8, 2010

I made a small venture out into Joshua Tree National Park recently with my friend Conrad. Here is my favorite photo of a Joshua Tree, they remind me of something from a Dr. Seuss illustration.

Black and White Getty Images

January 18, 2009

These are the long awaited black and white film photos from my trip to the Getty with my girlfriend, full story in my previous post. Hand developed Fuji Acros film taken with my Yashica TLR camera.

This camera has a self timer control and this is what we did with it.

Out of focus works best sometimes.

Blinded by the limestone. I think she looks like her mom here, but you wouldn’t know.

Sad with a mouth full of rice crispy treats.

Jessie took this photo of me.

Preview of my Adventures

September 3, 2008

Below is a small collection of my favorite things to gather when visiting someplace new, pressed pennies and photo booth strips. Sorry for the weak photograph of the stuff. Good photographs soon to follow since I just developed a couple rolls of film.

If you want to make my day and mail me (42 cent stamp) a pressed penny (two quarters plus one penny) from wherever you are. That 93 cents would sure make this boy happy.

Adventures with the Canon A1!

July 24, 2008

Since I have been shooting 36 frame rolls of film and I am not a trigger happy shooter with film, some of these photos are long over due. My Canon A1 point and shoot underwater camera has become one of my most consistent companions out of all my cameras. Here are some of the things it is good for:

party photos (party poopers)

boat adventures on Lake Forest
train adventures with my lady
crossing pch
self timer, self portraits on my long board
burning people at Malibu
and the reason I bought the camera, photos of toes over

this was my 100th post, my next post should be all black and white photos from my rollei, or possibly something else who knows when.
