Buzz Cut

December 28, 2010

I can recall nearly everytime I have buzzed my head since the 5th grade, it happens every couple years. I have buzzed my head out of boredom, curioustiy, for a girl, because of a girl, depression, lunacy and whatever whim that posseses me, but mostly clearing my head is grounds for new beginnings. It is rarely pre-meditated for too long, because then I loose my nerve and just let it grow. Change does me good.

Here are some photos over the years with a buzz, I often reflect on the past and how my life has changed. I remember numbers and dates well, I don’t care about new years.

It’s interesting to see how much I’ve aged.

Chris Christensen

December 10, 2010

While I was in Monterey for Jeremy’s wedding. I became pretty good friends with one of the other groomsman. Chris and I were the only single men in the group so we stuck together and had some good times.

Jeremy Coulter

December 8, 2010

This is Jeremy Coulter, one of best guys I know. He and I lived together in college and had many good times. He got married a couple months ago and I was one of his groomsman, here are a couple photos I snapped of him on a little adventure.

Nashville: Falk and Fire

December 6, 2010

I went to Nashville for a little vacation to visit some friends. My friend Jack Falk took the entire week off to hang out with me, so most of my photos were of him. We saw Die Antwoord play, drank a lot, searched for pallets and then burned them, lit leaves on fire, BBQ’d, a fire every night, I smelt like fire all week. It was a great vacation, here are some of my favorite photos.

Salvadorian Haircut

December 3, 2010

Having a lot of curly hair, my options are limited to what I can do with it. Usually let it grow for a year or two then buzz it, occasionally a trim. Lately I have been messing around and trying something new. I paid a visit to my friend Brock who works at Flaunt Salon in Long Beach. I explained to him what I wanted, basically to look like a latin american fútbol player, short on sides and a duck tail. Brock lived in El Salvador for two years and told me he would give me the haircut all the cool kids had. Thanks Brock.

Montoya Maiden Voyage

December 1, 2010

The Brothers Montoya recently got themselves some bikes and wanted to ride with me. We decided a ride to Long Beach to visit our friend and back would be a fun first ride. 40 miles total and pretty flat, it was too slow for me and too hard for my friends. I took some photos.
