Climbing Mountains

Published on May 9, 2009

I will be leaving for Peru in about a month and I need to make sure I am in shape enough to climb the Andes. We will be doing a 5 day hike to Machu Picchu. So, some friends and I have been going on some recreational hikes. Last week we climbed my backyard mountain, Saddleback, a 16 mile, 7 hour hike. It was a fun hike, but by no means any altitude training. Here are some snapshots from the trip.

The clouds came in as we reached the top

Radio towers can suck it.
